5 DIY Ways to Accessorize your Look

1.) Add Lace to denim

This is super easy & inexpensive! You can use any denim short, skirt or pant. All you need is lacy looking ribbon & fabric glue. You can even add it back pockets or denim jackets- a great way to freshen any old denim!

2.) Faux Pearl Piercings

This is a unique way to add a little something to your look! Simply use eyelash glue and half pearls you can get at a craft store- they work on the top or bottom of your ear, along your collar bone- be creative with it!

3.) Belly Chains

If you've opened up a Victoria's Secret catalog this year, you'll notice these everywhere! You can get gold, silver or rose gold chains at a craft store, along with the clasps. Measure around your waist, add the clasp on & you're done! Another easy way to do this is buy a long necklace and simply put it around your waste instead!

4.) BYOC

It's essential to stay hydrated, especially during summer! Whether your headed to the pool or out running errands- bring a cute cup! Pick up a plain plastic cup (Target, Walgreens, even Dollar Tree has them), loose glitter, a paint brush & modge podge. Modge podge the whole cup, roll in glitter, then repeat. Finish off with one coat of modge podge, and you're ready to go!!

5.) Studs- on anything!

Break out that fabric glue again, and get studding! The cuffs of skinny jeans, or back pockets of shorts look great! You can even use nail glue to add studs to your nail polish- the ring finger is perfect to add a little flair too!

4 Nail Trends to Try

1.) Neutral Ombre

Can't decide on a shade of nail polish?? Use them all! Start with the darkest color on you thumb, and work your way to the lightest on your pinkie. If you don't have 5 similar shades, pour out some of your nail polish & add a drop of white nail polish to the color after every nail- works perfectly!

2.)Pink Tips

You can never go wrong with Pink! Use a dark color- gray, black, or brown works great. Let it dry completely, and use nail stickers to get a clean line to paint the tip pink. Add a glossy coat, or matte coat to finish the look!

3.) Metallic Stripes

Metallics mixed with bright colors are in! The trick to this is first painting your whole nail metallic. Let it dry, then paint each side a bright color, such as coral. Done!

4.)Light Purples & Blues

I love these neon pastels! This is all about the color- find a shade that is light but intense. Or you can make your own by adding white nail polish or powder eye shadow into a old blue or purple color. It's a great way to brighten up colors you don't use anymore!
