9 Festive NYE 14' Looks!

1.) A Sequin Blazer-I love that this paired with a plain tee! Buy, steal or borrow a guys plain V-Neck, which comes in handy to wear with Jeans, under blazers, and doubles as a sleep shirt. A fun blend of dressy and casual- the two necklaces and gold party nail are great finishing touches. Voila!
2.) A Bold Colored Blazer- Cobalt Blue will be everywhere soon, so it's a great time to buy a bold statement piece and you can turn it into a work piece after breaking it in out on the town. Cheers to that!
3.) Gray- Charcoal gray is everywhere, it looks clean & chic- I like gray pieces paired with a fitted white sweater and classic pearls. The best part is all these pieces will come in handy time after time- a much better investment than a dress you probably won't wear again!
4.) Lace Tank with Sequin shorts- This is the perfect alternative to a dress! You can easily throw black or tan tights on under the shorts for warmth. Both pieces will be fun to own for future outfits and complement each other wonderfully!
5.) A Tulle Skirt- This is sophisticated and fun for a nice dinner and night out to follow! I love this Tulle overlay paired with a silk blouse- perfect!
6.) Burgundy and White- There's a ton of LBDS, glitter and sequins on New Year's, so try something different with a fall color such as burgundy or emerald. This is the perfect mix to stand out and play around with different pieces you can actually wear again!
7.) Glitter Tights- How can you not?! You can even take normal black tights and buy the glitter that sprays into your hair to make them yourself. Pinterest has other DIY ideas such as gems or jewels added to your tights- so fun & original!
8.) Sequin Skirt with Multiple Accessories- I love this look for NYE because it's your time to rock glitz & glam! Tuck in a lacy or silk neutral top and make your outfit all about the accessories!
9.) A Sequin Cropped Cardi- This can easily be dressed up with leggings, leather pants or a skirt, but also a fun way if you're keeping in casual while still blingin' in the New Year!

These are all alternatives to dresses, as we all know we buy dresses--> take pictures--> NEVER wear again. These are all ideas to be re-worn. Might as well invest in future looks!

Happy New year all- so many good things are yet to come!

11 Warm Winter Must-haves!

1.) A Fur Vest- One of the most cozy, easy pieces to wear on a cold day! Simply wear over any long-sleeve shirt and your done! No scarf or accessories needed- simply wonderful!
2.) A Lace Trench Coat- Or any trench for that matter! A cute, fitted trench is one of the best investments in outerwear because the trench silhouette never dies and it's flattering on any body type- a classic win!
3.) A Fur Scarf- The one is from Nordstrom, also comes in gray & white. I absolutely love wearing this ultra plush piece... to the point where I've contemplated sleeping in it! Ha, but seriously.
4.) Hand Warmers- Another trendy comfortable item that is easy to layer over any long sleeve , or with a tee.
5.) Lace Socks & Leg Warmers- Another item that's made a comeback this year! This is fun unique way to wear them- over the boot or even over a pair of stilettos.
6.) Velvet Leggings- These Jessica Simpson leggings are super soft, warm and add a little luster your basic legging! Velour seems a little old school, but everything old is new again, right?! One of my favorite things to throw on, and be dressed up or down easily!
7.) Flannel Shirts- I love this topped off with an over-sized scarf and fur vest! 3 must-haves rolled into a warm wintery look that will be as comfortable as it is cute!
8.) A Braided Headwrap- Looks great with hair down or a high ponytail/bun. Pair with a knit sweater and you're set for a chilly day!
9.) Chunky Knit Hats- Space dyed pom hats are a fun trend for a day you don't want to mess with your hair! Spaced dyed knits are in, and the chunkier, more loose stitch the better! This look was spotted everywhere in Europe & will be even more important next season!
10.) Over-sized Scarves- When you can wrap a scarf around and around there's no better feeling! Can't beat this- the bigger the better!
11.) Touchscreen Gloves- Nothing is worse that having to take off your gloves to use your phone on a freezing cold day! No longer necessary with gloves that are made with conductive material at the finger tips. Once you have them, you'll never go back!
12.) Ponte Pants- Last, but certainly not east, ponte pants are a must have and even more so in the future! Ponte is a double knit process that results in a pant than is heavier than a legging, but more stretchy than a skinny jean. They are warm, flattering and contour perfectly against legs. These ones are Michael Kors, there are great ones at every price point!

*Warmest Wishes!*

10 Trends that Will Still be in Next Holiday Season

1.) Intarsia Sweaters- This is a knitting technique used to create patterns by inlaying multiple colors to create graphics & patterns. Critter graphics, dresses up animals, hearts and stars will be everywhere!

2.) Metallics- both in tops and bottoms, metallic colors were big on the runway, mixed with prints, embellishments & details!

3.) All over print sweaters- Will still have a huge trend influence! It's not too late to add to the collection & reuse next year! Prints/patterns are super easy to mix together, completing a fun holiday look without accessories!

4.) The iinfinity scarf- So comfy & cozy! Neutrals match every outfit, and brights are a great addition to a neutral outfit. Love these with tanks, tees and long sleeves.

5.) Moto jackets- The grunge/rebel look continues to play an important part, especially through the continuation of moto jackets. Chances are you probably already have one in black/tan- go for a pop of color like red, navy or fuchsia.

6.) Bold stripes and color blocking- Stripes are an effortless way to add detail to your look! I love black & white, or pastels mixed with white! Stripes continue everywhere- so it's safe to continue to buy!

7.) Buffalo checks- These are a bold blocked pattern, usually with 2-3 contrasting colors. Red & black is everywhere this year, and will still be relevant next year! A lot of stores carry more of this in Men's- you can score a great Men's scarf and turn into your own creative look!

8.) Tartan Patterns- This traditional Scotland look is interpreted in many different colors & patterns. My favorite preppy style, which can be dressed up or worn very casual. Both tartan and buffalo checks have gained popularity and will continue to next year.

9.) Leg warmers- with leggings and boots oe booties! So comfortable and a easy way to dress up any look for work or date night. There are so many unique leg warmers out there- check etsy or pinterest for something different!

10.) All over lace, lace inserts or placed cutouts are inspired by vintage 50's & 60's, making any outfit pretty and feminine. Details and embellishments are key players to completing the look- love!

It can seem like a waste buying towards the end of a season- but these fun things will carry over until next year- hopefully you can still incorporate these into the holiday season, then tuck away for next year! Thanks for reading!

11 photos from Nieman's Flagship Store

Nieman Marcus has an amazing flagship store downtown, where every item and unique display is carefully hand-crafted as if were straight out of Vouge. This one of kind store is the oldest location, built in 1914  & remodeled in 1998 after a fire. Everything inside is truly a work of art! There's also a salon, spa, esspresso bar and a resturant on the 5th floor with a classy bar and upscale menu. All items are impecable, expensive and specifically selected for this destination spot. Surprisingly the staff couldn't be more friendly! I was given a tour of every level- definatley the most amazing store I've been inside, truly a must see! Here are a few pictures i took, but there's so much more to experience!
