Uptown Rut? 10 things to checkout Downtown Dallas!

.) Neiman Marcus's Christmas lights! They went up this weekend and they're absolutely amazing- a must see to get you in holiday spirits! Located on Main street- you can't miss it!

.) Main Street Garden is a park like no other! It's 1.75 acres and includes a cafe, playground, and large dog park. On the other side is a large neon sign that spells P-A-R-K, another spot on Main you can't miss!

.) Pioneer Plaza's Cattle Drive. This is the largest public open space in Dallas- pictures don't do justice! The area is filled with sculptures, streams and waterfalls. Off Griffin and Young.

.) Urban Market- Downtown's new (and only) grocery store and more! This three pronged concept is a sushi/salad cafe, organic grocery store, and super chic liquor store. Recently opened by 3 young entrepreneurs that are as tentative as they are nice! Everything is well organized- check it out!

.) The 10 Nasher Sculptures. I came across this one first, there's a map at each one on where the others are located. Each unique sculpture is done by a different artist- this one is called "Painted Metal". Loving the hot pink arrow!

.) Fountains, ponds and parks! This pond is located at the Dallas City Hill Plaza, and is so peaceful and unique! There are benches to relax and enjoy a beautiful day. The skyline view is also invigorating from here!

.) Fun new brunch spots! Most of us have likely tapped into all the best brunch spots Uptown- so move it downtown! This is Wild Salsa on Main- the color graffiti on the outside is so fun how can you resist?! Union Bar is also a great brunch spot to watch games, not to mention $1 mimosas!

.) Beautiful architecture everywhere! No wonder why you see multiple photographers roaming the streets- the more you walk around, the more amazing downtown Dallas gets! Old churches, banks and business offices are extraordinary!

.) The Farmers Market- buy fresh produce locally! This site has been around since 1941 and offers a great selection of farm-fresh produce. It's open annually from 8am to 6pm daily. Check out their calendar for extended holiday hours and events!

.) My favorite part about living downtown are the skyline views that you can catch all over- from rooftop restaurants to public parks. That wraps it up! I stumbled on all these places within a few hours- you can see everything here plus so much more without driving. It's worth a few hours on a beautiful day- you won't be disappointed!
